1. What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your full name, your email address, and your password (stored in a protected form). When you use the app, we save what you enter: your classes, learner names, scores and grades, exam results, notes, reminders, and tasks.
2. Why we collect it
We use this information only to run TeachyTool for you: to let you sign in, to save your work, to compute grades, and to show your data back to you. We also use it to keep the app working and to give you help when you ask.
3. Learner information
The learner names and scores you enter belong to you and your school. You decide what to enter, so please enter only what you need and only what you are allowed to. We do not use learner information for any other purpose.
4. Share links
If you create a share link for a class, anyone who has that link can see a read-only view of that class's grades. Only share it with people who should see it. Stop sharing the link if you no longer want it to be seen.
5. Who can see your data
You can see your own data. People with your share link can see the read-only view you shared. TeachyTool administrators can see accounts and classes when they need to, for example to fix a problem or give support. We do not show your data to anyone else, unless the law requires it.
6. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to see your data, to correct it, to ask for it to be deleted, and to object to how it is used. You also have the right to complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
7. Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account and the data in it. Contact us using the details below. Once it is deleted, we cannot bring it back, so please export anything you want to keep first.
8. Keeping your data safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. But no system is 100% safe, so please use a strong password and do not share it.
9. Not for learners
TeachyTool is made for teachers. It is not meant to be used by children to create their own accounts.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date on this page.
11. Contact us
For questions, or to use any of your rights above, message us on our Facebook page. Please also read our Terms of Service.
